A new season, a new blog

The idea of a person moving through seasons of life has resonated with me more strongly than ever over the last few years. When I started my first blog, I had my own coaching business (Salt & LIght Living) while holding down a more than full-time job.

The blog originated as a vehicle for my coaching business. It was fun and I learned a ton, but just didn’t have the resources (mainly time) to put toward it. So the blog floundered a bit and, ultimately, my ability to keep the business going. C’est la vie!

This new blog is more general – some of the same topics, but I won’t feel tied to such a daunting anchor as a business. It’s just me and my reflections as I move from season to season – which can happen within a year, as you all know. Life’s seasons don’t seem as predictable as meteorological seasons (and…as any Minnesotan knows…that’s almost entirely upredictable, itself!).

To use theatre terms, every day is full of new scenes for which we usually don’t have a script. I guess I try to play my role the best I can and if I’m really on my game, even help my fellow actors (all the world’s a stage, you know) get through the scenes we have together. If only life were as easy as yelling, “Line!”

So…enjoy. We’ll see where it goes. Feel free to comment on the posts so they can be at least bi-directional. Dialogue is good.

Sláinte!!
